This is a high density storage option that is available in an extensive range of size and structural options. AS 1170 (Structural Design) nominates design floor load criteria for both Libraries and File Rooms. Before ordering mobile storage systems, the structural integrity of the floor the unit will sit on should be verified by a qualified engineer.

Mobile Storage systems can be mounted on a fixed base or a fixed floor track. While fixed base mobile storage units are generally a pre determined size, this type of system can be designed to accommodate almost any space. Unit height will also vary and is determined by the type of media being stored and any Occupational Health & Safety considerations.

Media is stored in bays and the bay depth can be specified to accommodate the size of the media being stored. Mobile storage unit bays can be banked together. Bays in larger systems roll on tracks and mechanical assistance rolling storage is indicated to aid the movement.
